Description
The Brunello di Montalcino “Madonna delle Grazie” represents the spearhead of the historic Il Marroneto winery, a niche of art and wisdom on the hills of Montalcino since 1974. Famous and award-winning, the “Madonna delle Grazie” has often been defined as one of the best expressions of Sangiovese. The selected grapes that give rise to this Brunello come exclusively from the Marroneto vineyard, a small farm adjacent to the thirteenth-century church of the Madonna delle Grazie. The Sangiovese grapes harvested here slowly vinify in Allier oak vats for at least 20 days. The aging foresees a rest of 41 months in oak barrels and then a further refinement in the bottle of 10 months. The choice of large 25-quintal barrels for long aging makes it possible to preserve the natural aromas of the wine, protecting it from the aggression of wood and excessive hints of oak. Brunello di Montalcino “Madonna delle Grazie” Marroneto is a very thick red wine for meditation. Its aromas are woody and bursting, recalling very ripe fruit, mint, bay leaf, bitter coffee. The taste identity is gritty and unmistakable, robust, savory, with good tannic expressiveness and an interminable harmonious finish. An important and unforgettable red wine, an unmissable interpretation of Brunello.
