With the white Cuvée “Aichberg”, the Kornell estate demonstrates its mastery in the art of blending wines: the master cellarmen are able to create a real masterpiece of wine, complex, harmonious and highly refined. The wine is aged for nine months in oak barrels to subsequently mature another four in the bottle. Golden reflections stand out in the straw yellow of “Aichberg”. A complex interplay of banana and pineapple aromas with refined hints of basil immediately intoxicates the nose. The aroma of exotic fruit reveals its taste, multilayered and well balanced. L refining in oak barrels expresses itself in marvelous notes of wood.A fantastic accompaniment wine for the most delicious seafood and shellfish, but also excellent with meat and cheese dishes.
This wine, an excellent example of blending, takes its name from the Aichberg castle near Appiano, near which the individual vines of the cuvée thrive on calcareous and gravelly soils with a high clay content. From 60% Pinot Blanc, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon, the master cellarmen give life to the structure of this oenological masterpiece.
